Our Mission
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier unites our country.
It embodies what connects us and transcends our differences, helping restore a shared sense of patriotism and the principles that define our national identity.
Through education, inspiration, and unity, we ensure that those who served, serve, or will serve - especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice or remain missing - are never forgotten.
What We Do
The Foundation advances its mission through programs that educate, inspire, and unify Americans and our Allies.
EDUCATE
Orienting Americans to the deeper meaning of the Tomb through art, music, ceremony, and historical education.
INSPIRE
Encouraging individuals and communities to adopt the ethic embodied by the Tomb - remembrance, dignity, and service.
UNIFY
Bringing together organizations, leaders, and citizens to ensure our nation never forgets or forsakes those who serve.
Programs
Flowers of Rememberance
"Each flower is a promise kept" ~Anonymous Volunteer
In partnership with Arlington National Cemetery, thousands of individuals are invited to lay a flower at the Tomb on the day before Memorial Day.
Never Forget Garden Markers
In partnership with the Society of the Honor Guard & Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, these markers allow Americans to visibly honor veterans through personal remembrance gardens.
Commemorations with Our Allies
Honoring historic alliances that shaped our nation, including tributes to our first ally, France, and the enduring contributions of figures such as Pierre Charles L'Enfant.
Operation Electric Cord
A developing digital classroom designed to teach the deeper meaning of the Tomb through lesson plans, historical resources, and examples of altruistic service.
