Operation Electric Cord
In 1858, Abraham Lincoln spoke of an “electric cord” that binds Americans across generations, connecting us through shared values and the enduring principles of the Declaration of Independence. This electric cord, he said, links every patriot and liberty-loving heart, uniting us under the belief that “all men are created equal.” Today, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier stands as a solemn manifestation of this unbreakable bond, reminding us that the sacrifices of the unknown are not forgotten, and their contributions forms the threads of our national identity.
